From Generation To Generation
(Part II – Looking back on 2016)
1. The voice from God that eases anxiety for future (Joshua 1:5-9)
No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
2. The things we should pursue (1 Timothy 6:11,12)
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
3. Our Missions (2 Timothy 4:1,2)
In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:1-2,10-12)
Summary
From Moses to Joshua, after this change of the leaders, Israelite entered into their new era. They spent 40 years after the Exodus and at long last they came to the entrance of the Promised Land. Just then, God ordered this alternation. Now, we yourchurch is in the time of alternation. Our younger generation has been growing and is able to lead our ministry. yourchurch is a community still on its journey and we all are walking on our own journeys as well. This community is a connection to bless, support and encourage each journey of life.
